摘 要： 科学发展观的提出，是对过去不尊重科学的倾向的纠正，同时也要求我们对“科学”这个概念有一个清楚的认识。以往对中医的科学性的讨论，反映了人们对两种科学概念的混淆。由于把近代发展起来的科学体系看作了“科学”本身，作为求知活动的科学以及它所包含的科学精神却恰恰在“科学”的名义下被忽视了。文章以中医为例，分析了近代科学体系所依赖的一些基本哲学方法论的基础所包含的局限，指出科学发展观里所包含的“科学”概念，不能是近代科学体系所代表的那套规范，而是以科学精神指导的认知和实践方式。而这种方式，恰恰又是传统中医里面所包含的基本方法论原则所要求的。

The Scientification of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Two Senses of Being“Scientific” NI Pei-min
Abstract: While the call for scientific development is a rectification of what is not scientific, it also calls for a clearer understanding of what it means to be “scientific”. The debate about whether traditional Chinese medicine is scientific or not in the past shows that we need to make a distinction between two senses of being “scientific”. In taking the paradigm of modern science as the standard of being scientific, the living spirit that any scientific activity embodies is neglected. This article takes traditional Chinese medicine as an example, and provides an analysis of the limitations of the philosophical guiding principles behind modern science. It shows that the notion of “scientific” in the call for scientific development can not be the norms of the modern science; it has to be the spirit that defines all scientific activities, and this very spirit is required by the basic principles of traditional Chinese medicine.
